This life group was named CHAVERIM (Hebrew: חברים, literally, "companions"), to connote a “gathering of friends”.   We came together in 2022 as believers that were hungry for spiritual food and fellowship (koinonia).  Our desire to know Jesus fueled our weekly Saturday meetings hosted by members on rotation.  At each meeting, we share potluck meals, spend time in worship and prayer, and study the Word of God.  We use various bible study methods like by book, topical, and character studies.  Among the materials we have done in the past are:  The Chosen series, In the Footsteps of the Savior by Max Lucado, and Nothing to Prove by Jennie Allen.  We also enjoy visiting local destinations and have gone on out-of-town trips to Helen in Georgia, and the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.

Our group’s mission is to spur each other to grow in our faith, to walk daily with God, and to do life together inspired by Romans 8:37, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
